简介: Ramon Wyss Ramon Wyss was born in Germany 1952 and moved to Sweden 1967. He is a citizen of Sweden, married and having two children.   Ramon Wyss is a professor in theoretical nuclear physics at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm, Sweden. Ramon Wyss worked for 9 years in industry at mechanical workshops prior to engaging in university studies. He started to study engineering physics 1981 and received the Engineering Diplome (civ.ing. - MSc) in 1985 and a PhD in 1990 within experimental nuclear physics. He spent two years as postdoc in the US at the national laboratory in Oak Ridge and was habilated 1993 at KTH. He developed several educational and research initiatives, was invited guest resear-chers at several European institutions and received the ’Edlundska prize’ of the Royal Swedish Academy of Science, March 1995. Ramon Wyss also serves as an honorary guest professor at Peking University and has published more than 300 articles in refereed journals within nuclear physics with a H-factor of 49. He has supervised a large number of thesis projects, three PhD students and several PostDoc students in theoretical nuclear physics. Ramon Wyss served as vice president of KTH in charge of international education at the KTH from 2002 to 2007 after which he became advisor to the KTH-President in 2008. He has been from 2004-2008 a member of the management board of CESAER (a network of 60 universities in science and technology) and from 2006-2010 the Secretary General for CLUSTER (a network of 12 European universities in science and technology). Ramon Wyss has been the KTH project leader to develop the Swedish University of Science and Technology in Pakistan, and has developed joint educational and research programmes with China and India. Ramon Wyss served as vice president for international affairs at the Jönköping International Business School 2008-2009 and is appointed since June 2009 as vice president at KTH for international affairs. He has been instrumental for setting up the Knowledge and Innovation Community (KIC) InnoEnergy consortium, the leading innovation facility of the European Union within the sustainable energy sector and was serving as board member of KIC InnoEnergy SE from 2010-2013. For the InnoEnergy application, Ramon Wyss was heading the governance group and has acquired deep knowledge of governance in private public partnership organization. Ramon Wyss lead the start of the Swedish Co Location Center of InnoEnergy, that is in charge of Smart Grid and Storage. He is appointed director of the KTH-energy platform supporting all energy research at KTH. Ramon Wyss is appointed to the EIT expert group working on simplification of the KICs auditing and accounting rules.
