报告简介：This lecture explores the multifaceted meaning of "credit" (crédit) in eighteenth-century France, demonstrating how it functioned as a regime linking politics, economy, and social life. It argues that credit and fashion were inter-connected systems through which social value was produced and circulated. Women, though excluded from formal authority, exercised informal power through these networks.
