报告摘要:Two-dimensional (2D) materials hold immense promise for next-generation electronics and optoelectronics due to their unique atomic-scale properties and versatile functionalities. However, realizing this potential is contingent upon solving key challenges in scalable material synthesis and effective device integration.
To address these challenges, our research has focused on developing innovative synthesis techniques and exploring novel device architectures. This presentation will detail our work on establishing a suite of controlled growth methods-including phase-controlled colloidal synthesis and salt-assisted Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD)-for fabricating high-quality 2D materials and heterostructures. We will further discuss how these materials enable high-performing transistors and photodetectors, where strategies like ferroelectric-gating markedly enhance device operation. A significant portion will be devoted to our discovery of exceptional photovoltaic performance in 2D Mo₁₋ₓWₓSe₂ alloys, which exhibit near-ideal photovoltage generation. The talk will illustrate how our integrated approach, from material creation to device application, paves the way for practical 2D material-based technologies.
报告人简介:Dr. Zongyou Yin obtained his B.S. and M.S. degrees at Jilin University in China, and completed his Ph.D. at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore. Then, he started his postdoc careers at NTU/Singapore, IMRE/Singapore, followed by MIT and then Harvard University. Dr Yin started his own Research Group at Australian National University (ANU) from 2017. Dr. Yin is the tenured professor at ANU now. His group’s research is interdisciplinary, encompassing AI-driven materials innovations, nano-to-atomic materials science, fundamental relationship among materials-structures-devices, and synergistic integration of multi-functions towards systems for sustainable energy and wearables. Dr. Yin is the Australian Research Council (ARC) Future Fellow at level 3, Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC), Fellow of the Australian Institute of Physics (FAIP), and Fellow of the Royal Australian Chemical Institute (FRACI). He has been named a World Highly Cited Researcher ten times since 2015.
