讲座内容: 讲座人:徐海超 博士(Dr. Haichao Xu)厦门大学化学化工学院 教授 讲座题目: Electrochemistry Enabled Radical Reactions 地       点:前沿院西二楼 A102,曲江校区 时       间:2018年6月29日,下午4:30 主办单位:前沿科学技术研究院 Organic electrochemistry, which employs electrons as the traceless oxidizing or reducing reagents, is attracting renewed interests in response to the ever-increasing demand for more efficient and sustainable organic synthesis.1 Because of its reagent-free feature and tunability, electrochemistry is powerful in the generation of radical and radical ion intermediates in a controllable fashion through clean single electron transfer (SET). In the presentation, our recent progress on the electrooxidative generation of radical and radical ion intermediates and their synthetic applications in dehydrogenative cyclization and annulation reactions will be discussed (Scheme 1).2 In these electrochemical dehydrogenative bond-forming reactions, the electrons collected at the anode from the substrates move to the cathode to combine with protons to produced hydrogen, obviating the need for oxidizing reagents.
