The representative work of Dr. ZHANG is provide the first evidence that AMPAR surface diffussion can be pharmacologically modulated to promote long-term synaptic plasticity and memory. Dr. Zhang is recently investigating the optical control of AMPAR dynamics by a cutting-edge technique to demonstrate that AMPAR surface diffussion can be optically. Dr. Zhang has published papers in several top journals including Nature Communications, Journal of Clinical Investigations and Molecular Psychiatry.
