The scope of our research include the aerodynamics of flapping wings; dynamics, stability and control of flapping flight; bio-inspired robotic insects and their actuator and sensor development, etc. In this talk I will highlight our recent findings on flapping flight, including 1) Aerodynamics of flexible wings; 2) Aerodynamic effect of wing-wing interactions in dragonflies; 3) The experiments and performance of robotic insect prototypes developed in the lab.
