美国加州大学河滨分校Zhang Qi（University of California Riverside）教授，应邀于7月3日-7月9日来我校进行学术访问。他将对抛物型偏微分方程的定性理论和一些前沿研究问题进行系列学术讲座。
讲座题目： Some qualitative properties of the heat equation

摘要：We will discuss a number of qualitative properties of the heat equation on R^n, which are easy to understand at one hand, and are of long lasting influence on the other. These include: the maximum principle, log gradient bounds, monotonicity of energy and entropy, heat kernel bounds.
We will discuss extension of these properties to the manifold setting by Li-Yau, Hamilton and Perelman etc.
Some connections to current research on Ricci flow will also be touched.
