应理学院张淳民教授的邀请，世界著名光学专家、地球物理学家，加拿大空间和大气物理学会主席，加拿大纽布朗什维克大学物理系主任William Ward教授将于12月15日～19日对我校进行学术访问并作精彩报告。

William Ward教授简介
世界著名光学专家、地球物理学家，加拿大空间和大气物理学会主席，加拿大纽布朗什维克大学物理系主任，国际中层大气委员会、加拿大物理学会、美国地球物理学会和气象学会会员，国际著名期刊《Atmospheric Chemistry and Physics》编委。主要研究领域为地球物理与大气物理, 在新型干涉仪研制及对大气成分、温度和风场光学遥感探测等方面在国际上取得了重大突破和杰出成就，在国际著名期刊发表高水平学术论文百余篇。
