Dr. Ting Wang completed her BSc and MSc in Mathematical Statistics at Beijing NormalUniversity, and her PhD in Statistics at Massey University in New Zealand. She joined theUniversity of Otago in 2012, where she is now Associate Professor in the Department ofMathematics and Statistics. Her research lies at the interface of statistics and geophysicsfocusing on developing novel statistical models for geoscience problems. Her work hasappeared in leading journals including Nature Geoscience, and Nature Communications. Shehas led and contributed to over 10 national and international collaborative research projects,and has received the Worsley Early Career Research Award (2013) and the littlejohnResearch Award (2022) from the New Zealand Statistical Association.
