Salje教授是英国皇家科学院院士、英国皇家艺术院院士、德国科学院院士以及西班牙皇家科学院和艺术院院士，国际著名的材料科学家及矿物学家。主要研究领域为铁性材料相变行为与畴界工程。迄今为止已发表原创性论文500余篇，被SCI他引1万余次，H因子超过60。他撰写的专著《Phase transitions in ferroelastic and co-elastic Crystals》在铁性材料领域有着非常重要的影响(目前已经被国 同行引用1000余次)。 Salje教授获得过很多重要的国际奖。例如：1994年获得了Abraham-Gottlob-Werner奖（矿物学家最高荣誉奖，全世界每年仅1位）；1998年获得了Schlumberger奖 （矿物学家的最高荣誉之一）； 2000年获得洪堡研究奖；2002年获得 Ernst Ising奖（用于 奖励利用Ising 模型取得突出成绩的人员）；2002年获得汉堡大学金奖；2004年获得由法国 总统颁发的Chevlier dans I'ORDER des Palmes Academiques奖；2006年获得Agricola奖 （应用矿物领域的最高奖之一）；2006年还获得了德国功勋奖一等奖。

Jian-Feng Nie is a professor in materials engineering at Monash University in Australia. His research interests cover crystallography of solid-solid phase transformations, design and development of magnesium and aluminium alloys, processing-microstructure-property relationships in metallic materials, and microstructural characterisation using transmission electron microscopy. He is recipient of AIME Champion H. Mathewson Medal Award (2015) and Marcus A. Grossmann Young Authors Award of ASM International (2006). He is former chairman of Phase Transformation Committee of TMS/ASM in USA, chair of PRICM-7 conference, and editor of Metallurgical and Materials Transactions A.

讲座人简介

王晓临，澳大利亚Wollongong大学教授、超导与电子材料研究所副所长，自旋与电子材料研究组组长，澳大利亚物理学院 Fellow, 澳大利亚国家教授级未来学者。先后在奥地利、日本、美国著名大学研究机构从事研究工作。研究领域涵盖新型功能材料的设计及其试验和理论研究、涉及超导材料、自旋电子材料，磁性材料，铁电材料、多铁电体、热电材料等。在国际上首次独创提出了自旋零带半导体新型材料及其丰富物理现象的概念。在 Nature Materials, Physical Review Letters, Nano Letters等期刊发表论文300余篇，他引5000 多次。获得英女王伊丽莎白二世学者称号、美国材料学会和国际超导技术中心奖， WOLLONGONG大学校长合作奖。
