讲座内容: 讲座题目:周惠久论坛——Multiscale modeling of ferroelectric materials 讲座时间:2020年12月21日(星期一)上午16:00 讲座地点:兴庆校区仲英楼材料学院第一会议室(A247) 讲座人:刘仕(特聘研究员) 讲座内容: Ferroelectrics, a major class of high-coupling materials characterized by the switchable polarization, have become important in modern devices ranging from medical ultrasound, non-volatile memory to vibration-powered electronics. The device functionalities heavily rely on the interactions between the electric polarization and applied stimuli (e.g., electric fields). Understanding the dynamics of ferroelectric domains and domain walls in response to external perturbations is important for the development of ferroelectric-based functional devices. In this talk, I will highlight a few examples in which different computational methods are combined to reveal the emergent phenomena of ferroelectric domains and domain walls. We demonstrated deterministic and repeatedly obtainable multistate polarizations in ferroelectric thin films, highlighting the potential of ferroelectrics for adaptive neuromorphic electronics. Using molecular dynamics simulations, we revealed the nature of room-temperature ferroelectric SrTiO3 membranes subjected to extreme tensile strains. Finally, I will share our recent findings regarding the unique pyroelectric and piezoelectric properties of ferroelectric HfO2. 主办单位: 材料学院 金属材料强度国家重点实验室
