报告摘要: The imaging systems of the late 20th century would have been easily recognised and understood by the early pioneers of imaging systems three hundred years earlier. But recent years have witnessed increasing introduction of electronics and computational systems enabling a progressive transfer of the image-formation function from traditional optical systems to hybrid optical-digital imaging. Fusing techniques inspired by RADAR, x-ray imaging and communications theory; computational imaging includes computer recovery of images as an integral component of imaging-system design and implementation to yield imaging systems with unprecedented functionality. Using computational imaging it is now possible for the first time to image with both high resolution over extended depth ranges; for the performance of $100 computational-imaging microscope to equal a $100,000 microscope or to record 3D images in a single snapshot. This talk will describe the application development and application of new computational imaging in fields ranging from surveillance systems to microscopy.

Andrew Robert Harvey教授,国际著名光学专家,英国格拉斯哥大学物理与天文学学院教授,美国光学学会(OSA) ,SPIE以及ARVO会员。英国皇家物理学会委员,美国光学学会夫琅禾费奖金委员会主席,PMEA国际委员会委员,Physiological Measurement, Journal of Modern Optics编委。Andrew Robert Harvey 教授领导的新概念成像研究中心在多维信息一体化探测领域的研究一直处于国际领先地位。曾在1994年被授予奖项National Physical Laboratory prize for metrology,2008年被授予奖项Medical Futures Innovations Award for Retinal Oximetry Using Hyperspectral Imaging,在国际知名期刊发表论文200余篇。
