讲座内容: 讲座名称:Impurity effects in several quantum magnetic materials 讲座时间:2018年6月6日(星期三),上午10:00 讲座地点:曲江校区西二楼A102  讲座人:刘峥 博士 主办单位:前沿科学技术研究院 With a pure quantum origin, spin is always a mysterious object for physicists, which in condensed matters is interwinned with various exotic phoenomena such as unconventional superconductivity and topological order. In this talk, I will dicuss our recent study on three so-called "quantum materials", in which spin-polarized local electrons play an important role: (a) Cu-doped NaFeAs, an iron-based superconductor; (b) Se-doped TaS2, a transition-metal dichalcogenide Mott insulator; and (c) hydrogenated SrCoO2.5, an antiferromagnetic oxide. By combining first-principles calculation with experiment, we show how their electronic and magnetic structures can be tuned by purposely introducing impurities.
