讲座内容: 应动力工程多相流国家重点实验室副主任白博峰教授的邀请,澳大利亚昆士兰大学Geoff Wang教授将于11月1日(周三)在我校进行访问交流并举办学术讲座,欢迎感兴趣的老师和同学参加。 讲座题目:Sustainable Energy Development for Energy and Steel Industries 讲座地点:北二楼2楼会议室 讲座时间:11月1号下午16:00-17:00 Abstract: This Seminar presents research activities and development studies of CO2 capture, utilization and storage (CUCS) technology for of sustainable energy and steel industries in the Queensland University. The studies aim to develop new processes to produce clean energy and reduce the CO2 emission by converting CO2 from industrial flue gas using technology such as gas-to-liquid (GTL) fuel (ethanol). The seminar summarizes results from the studies recently carried out at the University of Queensland including both experimental investigations and numerical simulations on  •CO2 Capture with Membrane •CO2 Capture with CO2 Adsorbing Materials (CAMs) •Convert flue gas to liquid fuel (GTL) •CO2 Utilization/conversion  It discusses the feasibility and potential of CCUS as a mitigation option for the power and steel industries, and analyses the current technology readiness level of CO2 capture, utilization and storage techniques and the early deployments opportunities for applying CCUS technology in power and steel industries. The talk will further discuss opportunity using the CO2 conversion technology as effective means of energy-saving and CO2 emissions reducing, especially for large-scale and high intensity point emissions such as iron- and steel-making process.
